Morning chose an ordinary plastic chair and, for a little while, made it important.
The grass was almost unnaturally bright, the shadows still long, and a blue bowl sat quietly in the middle of it all. I love moments like this – when light rearranges the hierarchy of things and something nobody would normally notice suddenly becomes the centre.
Oil on canvas, 19 × 29 cm. With passe-partout 30 × 40 cm.
